About the AOS 2025 logo
Our beautiful AOS 2025 logo was created by Jenni Fuller.
“I created this logo using digital painting techniques and with the goal of capturing the core theme of the conference by highlighting the Mississippi River—an essential habitat for many bird species during their full annual cycle. Central to the composition is the river itself, framed by the Gateway Arch and four bird species you’re likely to spot in the region (Mississippi Kite, Eastern Kingbird, American Redstart, Black-crowned Night-Heron) spanning across groups including raptors, songbirds, and wading birds.
The visual style was inspired by classic National Park and folk music festival posters, both of which have unique ways of combining landscapes, wildlife, and/or typography. I also drew from my personal experience rowing and kayaking. Some of the most beautiful times on the water have been sunrise and sunset, which is an excellent time to hear the dawn chorus or the evening whinny of an eastern screech owl, and see the sky come alive with a burst of orange and blue.”
