ABOUT OUR MEETING LOGO
Our stunning AOS 2024 logo was designed by Meg Mahoney, a Ph.D. student in the Graduate Degree Program in Ecology (GDPE) at Colorado State University. She spends her summers chasing birds around the alpine for her dissertation work, which focuses on conservation genomics of the White-tailed Ptarmigan (Lagopus leucura). This logo is inspired by the delightfully colorful birds found at and above tree-line. The White-tailed Ptarmigan, Mountain Bluebird (Sialia currucoides), and Brown-capped Rosy Finch (Leucosticte australis) featured here are among the most iconic species found at Colorado’s highest altitudes. Contact Megan for science illustration inquiries.
