Location: Campus Center Auditorium

Day: Wednesday 5 August,

Time: 6–7:30 p.m.

In the face of challenges and uncertainties around funding, employment, academic freedoms, civil liberties, social values, conservation efforts, and more, building community is more important than ever. Given the success of a similar community-building event last year, we invite you all to gather once more for a community discussion and support session.

AOS representatives will share Society responses to U.S. federal policy changes so far. In small groups, participants will share strategies that have helped them navigate these times as well as brainstorm and provide feedback for how the AOS and other institutions can better support the community.

Light refreshments will be available and guests are welcome to bring their own dinner.

This event is for AOS 2026 attendees only. Designated members of the press are not eligible to attend this Forum.

Special thanks to our conference supporters
