As we close out the 2021 AOS & SCO-SOC Virtual Meeting, we invite you to listen to some more inspiring words from our invited speaker, the announcements for Student Presentation Award winners, and closing remarks from our meeting co-chairs Sushma Reddy (AOS) and Letícia Soares (SCO-SOC). Tales from a mixed-species flock: Stories across ornithology

Please join your friends and colleagues for an evening of laughter, tears, and joy as we listen to five captivating stories from this year’s selected storytellers, Yamina Nater-Otero, Kristen Ruegg, Dai Shizuka, Archita Sharma, and Aghah Bindalery. Their stories will reflect the depth and breadth of experiences within our ornithological community; we’re looking forward to a wonderful evening!

Networking Sessions
Monday–Friday, 9–13 August, 1:30–2:00 p.m. EDT

In these 30-minute informal networking sessions, join one of our daily themed Zoom breakout rooms or form a new room on the topic of your choice! 

We are offering moderated Zoom breakout rooms in which moderators may enact the Code of Conduct and report incidents to the Safe Meeting Committee on behalf of the Virtual Meeting Committee. You are also welcome to start your own non-moderated breakout room on a topic of your choice and invite others via the Chirp & Chirp! channel in Slack. If interested in doing this, please let us know the name of your room via the Chirp & Chirp! Slack channel by 11:30 a.m. EDT each day so that we can set it up before you enter.
