We are so excited to share that the American Ornithological Society’s (AOS’s) 2025 Annual Meeting will be in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S., from 11-15 August 2025! Our conference venue and hotel, the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, overlooks the Mississippi River and St. Louis’s famous Arch.
We’ve already identified some local partners who are excited to meet and host AOS members, including:
• St. Louis Zoo, a world leader in saving endangered species and their habitats, with robust research programs in reproductive and behavioral sciences and conservation medicine;
• World Bird Sanctuary, featuring trails through hardwood forest, educational opportunities, and of course birds! Have you ever made friends with a Harpy eagle? Consider joining a field trip to the Sanctuary and get to know Alejandro Eagle!
St. Louis also features some incredible birding opportunities, including Riverlands, a birding destination at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. If we’re lucky, we’ll start to see some migrating shorebirds on their way south. Even within the city, birders have recorded more than 200 species at the Tower Grove Park, a stop on the Great Missouri Birding Trail.
Save the Date for AOS 2025 in St. Louis! We can’t wait to see you there!
