Convocatoria de voluntarios para el A.M. 2025

We are looking for a dedicated group of volunteers to help make AOS 2025, the American Ornithological Society meeting this summer in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, a spectacular success! The meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch from 11–15 August 2025. 

Los voluntarios deben tener 18 años o más; los estudiantes (de grado y posgrado) y los profesionales noveles (a menos de cinco años de obtener su título terminal) tendrán prioridad para las asignaciones. Se anima a los profesionales que lleven más de cinco años en posesión de su título final a que se inscriban, y nos pondremos en contacto con usted si es necesario cubrir puestos. 

We are asking volunteers who are planning to attend the conference to work at least 10 hours total (including any required training or remote pre-conference work) in exchange for $120 off of registration to attend AOS 2025.

Volunteers will be able to arrange their schedules so that they should not have to miss any of the sessions or events they want to attend during the conference. Below is a summary of the opportunities available for volunteers:

• Providing in-person tech support during the conference. Training will be provided at the conference.
• Ayudar con la inscripción, el servicio de asistencia de la conferencia y la venta de productos. La formación se impartirá durante la conferencia.
• Orientar en persona a los participantes en la Carrera Popular.
• Prestar asistencia en actos sociales y de creación de redes, lo que incluye, entre otras cosas, montar y desmontar la sala, facilitar la participación y proporcionar apoyo técnico.
• Assist with student affairs events 
• Es posible que surjan más oportunidades de voluntariado en persona o a distancia a medida que se acerquen las fechas de la conferencia.

Volunteer opportunities are open to all members of the ornithological community and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You do not need to be a presenter at the conference or a current member to volunteer. In appreciation for the commitment of their time, all volunteers will be acknowledged formally as members of the AOS 2025 Volunteer Committee.
