Are you a science journalist who covers wildlife science, conservation, or related issues? Science journalists interested in covering research presented at the American Ornithological Society 2024 meeting (AOS 2024), to be held in Estes Park, Colorado, 1–5 October 2024, may request gratis registration.

To be eligible, journalists must either 1) be current staff members at a recognized media or news outlet; or 2) be an established freelancer who is a current member of a professional journalists’ or science writers’ association (e.g., NASW or SEJ) and who can provide recent clips, a letter from a commissioning editor, or other similar evidence of their work in the field.

The AOS 2024 Meeting Committee reserves the right to decline to provide gratis registration if someone does not meet these criteria.

Communications staff and meeting organizers will work with journalists attending the meeting to direct them to sessions that fit their interests and set up interviews, if requested. For inquiries, please contact Christine Schmidt, at cschmidt[at]americanornithology.org.

If you are a science journalist who is interested in covering AOS 2024, please complete this form to request gratis registration. We will respond to your request within one business day.
