Appel à volontaires pour l'AM 2025

We are looking for a dedicated group of volunteers to help make AOS 2025, the American Ornithological Society meeting this summer in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, a spectacular success! The meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch from 11–15 August 2025. 

Les bénévoles doivent être âgés de 18 ans ou plus ; les étudiants (de premier et deuxième cycles) et les professionnels en début de carrière (moins de cinq ans après l'obtention de leur diplôme) seront prioritaires pour les affectations. Les professionnels qui sont à plus de cinq ans de leur diplôme terminal sont toujours encouragés à s'inscrire, et nous vous contacterons si des postes doivent être pourvus. 

We are asking volunteers who are planning to attend the conference to work at least 10 hours total (including any required training or remote pre-conference work) in exchange for $120 off of registration to attend AOS 2025.

Volunteers will be able to arrange their schedules so that they should not have to miss any of the sessions or events they want to attend during the conference. Below is a summary of the opportunities available for volunteers:

• Providing in-person tech support during the conference. Training will be provided at the conference.
• Aider à l'inscription, au service d'assistance de la conférence et à la vente de marchandises. Une formation sera dispensée lors de la conférence.
• Providing in-person guidance for Fun Run participants.
• Fournir une assistance pour les événements sociaux et de réseautage, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, l'installation et la désinstallation de la salle, l'animation des participants et l'assistance technique.
• Assist with student affairs events 
• D'autres possibilités de bénévolat en personne ou à distance peuvent se présenter à l'approche des dates de la conférence.

Volunteer opportunities are open to all members of the ornithological community and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You do not need to be a presenter at the conference or a current member to volunteer. In appreciation for the commitment of their time, all volunteers will be acknowledged formally as members of the AOS 2025 Volunteer Committee.
