We are committed to making the AOS & Society of Canadian Ornithologists-Société des ornithologistes du Canada 2023 conference a just, diverse, equitable, and inclusive conference environment. We have created an advisory committee dedicated to organizing a meeting that is equally and equitably accessible to as many attendees as possible. We strive to ensure the ornithological community understands the accommodations available to them and how they can contribute to an accessible meeting.

The  RBC Place London, a conference center in downtown London follows Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requirements and stands ready to accommodate all visitors. The RBC Place London provides parking and ramp access, restroom facilities, Braille elevator buttons, phone and fire alarms for the hearing impaired, patrons with disabilities, and wheelchairs. Service animals are welcome to accompany those who need it in all areas where visitors are allowed. The meeting will take place across multiple floors and there is an elevator, escalators, and stairs. Gendered and gender-neutral restrooms, and a lactation room will be available. Please note, RBC Place can accommodate simultaneous events and AOS & SCO–SOC 2023 may not be the venue’s only client during the week of the meeting.

We strongly encourage all meeting participants to adhere to the accessibility guidelines we provide, in order to create an inclusive and equitable conference environment.

If you have suggestions or questions about access, please contact: meeting@americanornithology.org.
